THE PEOPLE & HISTORY BEHIND THE WOBURN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

The Woburn Chamber of Commerce has done nothing short of a tremendous job over the last 40+ years.

The Woburn Chamber of Commerce is a nonprofit organization that helps businesses and its members deal with public officials. Our leadership and board members speak on behalf of current members as well as businesses coming into the community to help them navigate the politics, procedures and city departments they will be confronted with. The WCC holds many networking events throughout the year which is a great way for new people and businesses to meet each other. We encourage any business that offers a service or product in the area to join us even if you do not live in or have an office in the city.

Whether you’re a large corporation like Dave & Buster’s or a small “mom and pop” shop just starting up, the Woburn Chamber of Commerce is a great organization to join. Their support of your business is just what you need, and we hope to be a partner with them for many years to come.

WHY JOIN?

The WCC will help any business, group or person with answers to any question they may have.  We can provide the best information regarding legal representation and engineering issues in the community. Most of our involvement is finding an answer to a question or solving a problem raised by a business in connection with one of the many agencies in the city. We bring elected officials around to the businesses to familiarize them with how each business’s service or product helps the city. We approach each issue with common sense and review it from both sides and try to find a solution that is best not only for the business, but the community as well.

Being a member of the WCC means supporting a vibrant, locally-focused community but, most importantly, means having an ally when it comes to complex legal and bureaucratic issues that can impede the growth or success of your business.

OUR FORMATION

Approximately 40 years ago, the Woburn Chamber of Commerce decided it wanted to regionalize and serve not just Woburn businesses but also neighboring cities and towns’ businesses, thereby forming the WCC.

The WCC is a nonprofit organization that helps businesses and its members become part of the community by helping them navigate city hall and connect them with state officials when needed to get their businesses what it needs. Our leadership and board members work with current members as well as businesses coming into the community and help them get started in the right direction.

The WCC holds many networking events throughout the year which offer a great way for new people and businesses to meet each other. We encourage any business that offers a service or product in the city or surrounding areas to join us even if you do not live in or have an office in the city.

The Board of Directors reserves the right to approve each business that applies but we encourage multiple types of business to join. The more businesses that are part of the Chamber, the stronger we are and the more we can accomplish, not only for businesses but for the City as a whole.
