Chancellor Newman is committed to UMass Boston engaging in the community and believes it will be impactful and beneficial to provide a venue for small business owners to discuss and exchange ideas about important issues facing small business in our city.
As you will see from the agenda, attendees will hear an update from leaders in the public and private sectors, participate in a Q&A following a panel of business and agency executives and visit information tables on how to access services. Topics will include procurement, accessing capital, healthcare, taxes and budget, regulations and more.
Presenters include Chancellor of UMASS Boston, Katherine Newman, John Barros the Chief of Economic Development for the City of Boston, Jay Ash the President and CEO of Massachusetts Competitive Partnership, Nhat Le the Chief Operating Officer for the Massachusetts Office of Business Development, Glynn Lloyd the Executive Director of Eastern Bank, Joyce Stanley the Executive Director of Dudley Square Main Streets, and Roxanne Cooke the Regional Director of Chase Banking.
